PianoFest Spring 2026: In Resonance

The festival concludes with a program exploring the many spaces sound can inhabit, from the intimacy of the Baroque to the precision of digitally mediated performance. Pianist Kuang-Hao Huang joins guest cellist Brant Taylor for Piazzolla’s Le Grand Tango, while harpsichordist Jason Moy and violinist Amelia Sie perform music of Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre. Jana Pavlovska plays Kolarovski’s Piano Sonata. Winston Choi performs works for Yamaha Disklavier Jeffrey Mumford, culminating in the world premiere of a new work by Bradley Robin.

Amelia joins harpsichordist Jason Moy in a recital of sonatas by Heinrich Ignaz Biber, Johann Sebastian Bach, Philipp Friedrich Böddecker, Lorenzo Bocchi and others that is sure to dazzle and delight.

The Arrow Quartet performs Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Christ.

A whole team of musicians will perform the complete Rosary Sonatas (c. 1676) of Heinrich Ignatz Franz Biber. There are fifteen sonatas, each a musical depiction of one of the “Mysteries of the Rosary,” or moments from the life and death of Christ.

EMA’s 7th Annual Showcase will be presented as the closing concert at 2024 EMA Summit in Cleveland Tuesday, October 22.
